Porcupine defends itself against a leopard

This is an African crested porcupine, the largest porcupine species in the world! They have 3 different types of quills, most are harmless and for display. The treacherous ones are black tipped and short and are on its back under the white tipped ones that stand up. The black tipped quills break off simply and can pierce vital organs leading to the predator’s death. Also, they harbor tons of bacteria so if the predator survives the first attack, they could die of infection later. They’re also very smart and can learn tricks!
